If you go on blackberry website to download desktop manager you will see a notice stating blackberry os no longer providing technical support for desktop manager....why blackberry why? I guess the wait to go over to bb10 is over its push off the cliff time...

No longer supported doesn't mean it's not available, correct? You can still download it, right? That just means no more updates I would think.

No longer supported means just that when you are having issues with it, you cannot call BlackBerry. There won't be any additional updates as well.

As long as it works for you, you won't have a problem using software that is no longer supported.

BlackBerry OS 10 has been around for almost two years now and it is time for consumers to move on.

Enterprise customers still get their support via support contracts.

Maybe the classic will be a good idea

But if currently BlackBerry is selling more BlackBerry 7 devices that BB10 why would you alienate your largest customer base by not have a fully supported BB7 desktop manager? I only realise this when I was trying to update my 9900 could as my desktop manager was requesting a software update which I could not complete.

I all fairness to Blackberry I suspect that the fault lays with apple.
They want everything to go through their cloud.
The mac desktop version doesn't sync calendars, contacts, etc.
