Desktop Manager & My Bold

So I've been trying for two days to back up my BB with the desk top manager. My DM software is 7.0 Bundle 1341 (There's an update but It never goes through for me) so when I try to back up my BB it gets all the way to the end and it stays on "smart card options 1 of 1 record"
mind you it takes forever to actually connect *I'm on a PC* Like it's beyond ridiculous already, Anybody have any suggestions?

Diconnect internet from PC,
And select advance backup--> and tick all the things you need like phone book, calendar, SMS, etc and backup.

Just in case you're serious, based on memory (am using a Mac now):

Control panel ->Network Connections->Select the network you're on and right click ->Disable.

Or

Reach back behind the PC and pull out the cable which has an end that looks like the end of a telephone wire.

Or

Call The AA.
