- Hi all, (1st post)
I have a couple of questions, but the most pressing one is:
When I connect my 8830 via USB and launch the Destop Manager the "status row" shows my pin, connected and unavailable. I can't seem to do anything, like backups. On the phone the mass storage is turned off. (I'm trying to do a back-up before the OS update). I have succesfully backed up before, so I figure I have forgotten something. I updated to the latest desktop software, same sympton. What does Unavailable mean?
I use a BES server as well as BIS, which is working fine. Up to date Windows XP
In my searching I see a lot of reference to the Desktop manager with functionality I don't understand. A number of questions about the install, chossing BES vs BIS but I don't understand why the desktop manager cares. Where does that functionality come into play on the desktop manager? I must confess I have only used the backup icon.
Thanks,
