Hi,

About to upgrade from 8900 to 9700. Recently burgled at work so my PC is gone and I'm having to use someone else's until I get a new one.

How do I get the contact off my 8900 and onto my 9700 without outlook?

BBDTM, is the way to do that, just install it and do a backup and restore

As it's not yet installed, presumably I can just back up the contacts without anything else?

You can use BBDM to Sync with Microsoft Outlook. With it, you can sync multiple things such as Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, all of that.

Since you'll have both devices, best would be two USP cables, and DM4.6. Use the device switcher, and it should ggo smoothly. I'd make a back up of the device first though, so you have a copy for safe keeping.
