Prevent DM from Notifying Me of 6.0 Update Availability?

Now that I've updated to OS6 and gone back to OS5, DM always keeps a small red asterisk by the "Update My Device" notification on DM's main screen to encourage me to make the change.

Is there any way to essentially let DM know that I'm not interested in updating and to turn off the notification star?

Uninstall and reinstall. When reinstalling, don't check the "check for updates" box.
