Anyone Running MS office 2010 and syncing Outlook with their Desktop Manager?

I have been trying to Sync DM 5.0 with Outlook 2010, and keep getting a Outlook Connector Error, "No Available Message Stores"

I have not been able to solve this and wondering if anyone has found a solution yet?

    EDIT:

To save people from reading the entire thread,
Currently NO version of Desktop Manager 5 syncs with Outlook 2010, Directly

    There are 2 Work arounds
1 - Install Office 2007 do a sync than Upgrade to Outlook 2010, and it will work apparently
2 - Download and install Companionlink

Waiting on Desktop Manager 6 Beta testers to give up thumbs up or down!

What version of office are you running x86 or x64? I am running x64.

I am having the same issue. There is a new Outlook Connector for Outlook 2010, but it did not resolve my issue. I also tried clearing my Desktop Manager Sync to the defaults, clearing my calendar, and setting up a new relationship. It did not work either. Any help is appreciated. Being on the cutting edge has its drawbacks for sure!

I had to uninstall the Technical Preview for now, but I will reinstall. I tried to download the "new" Outlook Connector and it hosed up Outlook 2010.

I read somewhere how to install the new connector. It requires that you already had Outlook 2007 on your system before, but I do not see why. Most people I suspect had 2007 installed as well. Go into Outlook 2010, hit Office Button->Account Settings->Add Account->Choose Other->Setup a Hotmail account and it will add the newest working Outlook Connector Automatically from Microsoft. I have not tried this.

I hope they get this fixed soon because I really want to use Outlook 2010. It has some nice new features that are really nice to have. Yes dbw1000, being on the cutting edge has it drawbacks, but it is still fun.

When you say no problems, do you mean your BlackBerry sync's with Outlook 2010? With version of BlackBerry Desktop are you using?

OK, I tried this again. Cipher, I wonder if you should not check and ensure Outlook 2010 and the BlackBerry are for sure updating on syncs. What I found is that with DM 5.0 is that my existing sync relationships before installing 2010 seem to work after installing 2010. However, nothing gets actually updated!

Additionally, when I try to setup a new sync that did not exist, for example with my calendar, it does not work. It says no message store.

I now have the Outlook Connector v14 (2010) installed as well. This did me no good. To install it you simply setup a hotmail account and it auto downloads the connector.

So I am stuck for now. It is especially frustrating because Google Calendar Sync no longer works either.

    Hi all,

The outlook that we are all using (including myself) is a raw version with most of the features not yet present.

We all hope that microsoft will improve the outlook and make user identification possible, (if you go to account settings, select your data file, then move to the address book, you will not be able to see the address book under your profile (outlook addreess book) - same as DM5 simply just does not see the message store although the message stores show on MAPI Viewers and Developer Tools Add-ins).
That happened before, when the new outlook 2007 was raw in summer 2006, with few features simply not available, (Blackerberry DM Software did not work either back then)...
There is a way how we can manually change the MAPI references that will allow Message Stores to show and start syncronizing outlook with Blackerberry Stormies and other phone software but that involves a lot of programming and bacically Trial & Error in attemt to fix outlook 2010.
Just as I say, lets hope that the "First" Public Beta that comes out in November will that fix handy.
In the meanwhile, I do hope that someone of you maybe is more advanced into the programming and will download Outlook 2010: MAPI References (those are available for download) and using the information that microsoft gives out themselves try to fix that thing and then tell us how to solve our problems.
    Cheers!

I had to install Outlook 2007 as well as all my 2010, and it syncs fine. DM won't sync with just 2010 installed.

Install an earlier version and it will work. Just don't use the 2007 version.

OS version Windows 7 Ultimate Edition x64
Outlook version Microsoft Outlook 2010 (Beta) x64

I just upgraded my desktop PC to Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) and then installed Office 2010 beta (x64) and Desktop Manager 5.101 with no medai manager.

I cannot get DM to recognise Outlook. Thisi is a first try but so far, I can't make it work. One reason may be that previous versions of Outlook all use Outlook.pst as the data store file and when I looked at the Outlook 2010 data store file it was called [email protected]. Obviously there was a real email inthere.

This could be the problem. DM just can't find the file it is looking for.

My installation is only about an hour old and I am still sorting it out so I might just fix this over the next day or so. If I do fix it, I'll be back here.
