Default Media Services are not available

I have this dreaded problem with my 9810. I have had the problem before with my 9800 on an old machine and figured new phone and notebook would do the trick, no luck!!!

In DM 6.1 I can not access any files or sync media. I can sync address book and applications fine but thats it.

I have googled this problem for days and just cant figure it out.

I can see my phone as a removable device in windows 7
I tried the calfix.exe fix
no clash with drive paths

Does anyone know how to solve this issue? I would really appreciate some help on this

Thanks

RB

Default

See KB29216
Client for Microsoft Networks protocol is missing in the local area connection properties

Open the Windows Control Panel
Open Network Connections
right click on RIM Local Area Connection & choose Properties
Use the General Tab, See if Client for Microsoft Networks is present

If not, choose Install
Choose Client and then Add
Choose Client for MicroSoft Networks from the list
Once install is complete, verify that it is present & checked
Disconnect & Reconnect the Playbook
