Duplicating Pictures during Backup

I have a Bold 9650 (v6.0.0.4131, Platform 4.4.0.315) and my Blackberry Desktop Manager (6.0.2.41 Bundle 43) appears to be duplicating the pictures in the backup folder on my laptop during synchronization. For example IMG001 is now backed up at IMG001, IMG001_2, IMG001_3, IMG001_4...so the 2000 of so pictures I have on my berry are 6000 on my laptop backup folder.

Any ideas on how I can adjust settings to have desktop manager not duplicate files that have been previously backed up?

Same here Rob. I am new to DM, and everytime I sync the phone, I end up with multiple copies of the same photo. I am still trying to figure out the settings. I will let you know if I find a cure. I am going to try the newbies section in the mean time.

Same problem for me on my 9850. Also, when I created a new folder and copied and pasted specific pics into a new folder, I am finding that once I delete the pics from the general folder they are in, it also deletes them from the new folder that I just put them in. Been searching for a way to not make this happen for a week now, to no avail

Anyone ever figure out an answer to this one? I've searched Blackberry support and all over the web for an answer. My pictures are still duplicating when it does a backup.

I'm having the same issue. Had it on my XP sp3 machine, and now on my new Windows 7 Ultimate too. Driving me nuts!!!

Well I just got my new blackberry, a 9790 upgraded from a curve 8900. I backed up the curve, then restored that to the bold, and now any image I put on the phone (pictures etc) appear four times. The media browser counts these four's, but if I delete anyone of them, they all disappear....

Is that the same issue, and more importantly, can someone help me...? Has this happened to anyone else...?

I was suffering the same thing from my Bold 9790... I feel like everyday I find another thing to "irk" me -- I keep saying I like the phone and then my calendar doesn't sync or now this photo thing.

Anyways - looks like the only way to fix it is a reboot! I did it - everything went back to normal with my pics.
