DM won't get out of its own way to update

This is peculiar.

I open DM. It wants to update. Ok. It prompts me to close the DM to continue with the update. I click the button to close DM. It doesn't close. So, I try to close it manually, then I try to kill it in task manager, then it begins installing, then it says it can't because another instance of the updater is already running. Rinse. Repeat.

It's like some kind of bad joke.

thats why I never allow DM to update itself. Causes more problems than it fixes.

It won't let me update my torch without first updating DM, and my Torch has been laggy and the browser hasn't been opening on command without a battery pull, so I'm very eager for the update.

Download the new version from here BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop Software uninstall the one on your computer, reboot and install the one you downloaded. It's also better to use loader.exe over dm.
