Default DM and windows 7

I have 2 pc's, one with XP and one with Win 7. When I connect the blackberry to win 7 the computer sees it connected but DM does not. If I connect the same BB to the XP machine and launch DM it works fine and I can backup and such. On the Win 7 machine I uninstalled the DM and reinstalled it. I then connected the BB and it was working fine. Now days later I am having the same issue. Any idea why it keeps failing on win 7? I have the newest version of the DM 6.1.0.36 (bundle 38)

The obvious things first - did you do a system restore? Alter anything? Is DM running as administrator?
