9630 Desktop Manager Mac

Hi all,
I have a Tour running OS 4.7.1 on vzw and a mac running 10.5.8. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of desktop manager to my Mac from the bb website. I have my bb set to enable mass storage and all that. When I plug in my phone it shows up as a drive in finder, however when I open desktop manager, it will not connect and just stays at the welcome to blackberry dm screen.
I have been wading through old threads here trying to find some answers with no luck,
Any assistance would be much appreciated

DM for Mac is not as good as the PC version since it still has it's bugs but it should at least read the phone.

The best I can think of is rebooting the mac with the phone plugged in, rebooting the phone while plugged into the mac or try messing with the usb cord.

Another thing you might want to try is a different USB cord, I know on my external hard drive that one cord will work while another cord does'nt....it's strange but it fixes the problem.
