Thinking about getting a Curve 9350
Hi, I have been a forum lurker for some time now, so I just finally decided to make an account!
I am currently using a Blackberry curve 8530 through cricket wireless. I have been using it for about 6 months and I absolutely love blackberry. I am not sure why there is so much hate surrounding the blackberry in this world but I think they are great.
Anyhow, I have been using my 8530 curve for some time now, and I think its reaching the end of its life cycle. It runs very slow, shuts off on its own, sometimes dont charge, I have 2 batteries for it which dont even last for an entire day. I have done wipes, and reinstalled the OS etc. etc.. So I think its time to get a new one.
So with my experience with blackberry, I figured I would get a newer one, and it just so happens that my carrier (Cricket Wireless) just came out with a new model, The Curve 9350 for 129.99.
So my question is, How much different is the 9350, What special features, and Is it worth spending the 129.99 to get this phone? Based on you experience with it.

Well I have a 9360, I believe the 9350 CDMA, phone.
With this purchase you are getting a faster processor, better screen, 5 m/pixel cam with flash and. Also the ram/rom is better than 8530, however both 8530 and 9350 have GPS.
So all in all its a good upgrade will do everything your old phone did.
BTW, you say that your 8530 is slow even after re-loading the Os, if you are running a lot of apps then this could be a problem. - 06-22-2012, 03:53 PM #3
The 9350 is a really good phone. You get a lot of bang for the buck. It will stand head and shoulders above your current phone.

Thanks for the replys guys, I currently am not running very many apps, off the top of my head i can think is Dropbox, Google maps, google talk, google sync, and recently Crackberry :P.. and even then i dont always have them running in the backgroud, usually have them open when i use em.
I also uninstall some stuff i dont use, such as blackberry messenger, blackberry maps, default games installed..

Its definitely an upgrade in my opinion. Everything just runs smoother and faster on the 9350. Its a very slim and light device too.

I have a 9360 and the stock OS is a battery . Since I'm on TM and they didn't release a 7.1 so I had to manually update. But the battery is terrible without the update. After, you can get through most of a day without a problem. The extended batteries are great but they're huge and make the phone really awkwardly shaped. I love my 9360 but if you have a choice, get something with a bigger battery. The 9700 has good battery life.
