No. Call your phone and leave yourself a voicemail. Then delete it. It will go away. Battery pulls don't fix this one.

If the above that SevereD says does not work, you may need to wipe your handheld. I had to do this when a missed call icon would not go away. You would need to back up your data via desktop manager > wipe handheld > then restore data.

I would only do this as a last resort if nothing else works.

also there is one other step to do if you cannot wipe it. You can call sprint blackberry customer support (877 654 9111) and they have a special tool just for taking the notification off.

How about going to SMS where the voicemail messages are listed and deleting them 1 by 1.

Although this info is 'dated' it still works. As I had this problem after 4 voicemails and kept having to do this I decided to contact my carrier's customer support.

I spoke to a Telus rep and he stated this is a Telus problem (not an issue with the phone itself !) with pushing notifications to the phone. He also said that Telus could have reset my voicemail and pushed an instruction to my phone to not display the icon. I requested a reset and have not had a problem since.
