    This is the question I keep getting asked. And unlike BlackBerry of old, It's not an easy answer anymore (and saying BlackBerry is a Software company apparently isn't adequate enough to satisfy inquiring minds). Here's to finding the answer!

    After reading the article, you'll see that the answer to that question is actually quite easy: the namesake company, BlackBerry, sells software related things. BlackBerry Mobile's TCL partner designs Android powered phones with their name on it.

    Chen's company sold phones that he himself didn't know or care anything about, thus dooming them to failure before they even launched.

    Now he sells crappy software on Android that makes dubious claims to being 'the most secure in the world EVAR!!!!!!!1'
