Since BlackBerry World 2012, Mippin and BlackBerry have provided a fast and easy way to allow anyone to create a BBOS, PlayBook and BlackBerry 10 app through the BlackBerry App Generator. Now though, emails have gone out letting anyone with an account know the service will reach end of life status as of May 29, 2015.

So what's next?? This in no ways seems to be a good sign. Maybe I am just panicking...OK BBW will get cleaned up, but isn't there a chance that there will be almost nothing left after that. Most developers will get another excuse not to develop BlackBerry apps. I am not a app person and my phone usage is not in any ways related to the apps available. I love to use what's integrated in BBOS but the 3rd party apps are getting lesser and lesser updates and they are being left out. Apps like Facebook, Twitter and Skype are still half baked (the native ones) and the android versions are very laggy to use. Something needs to be done..Mr Chen you are doing great but please take care of these as well, at least have a little regard for us consumers as well.
