Default Upgrading

Very soon I will be selling my old 8330 curve and getting the new tour. After i use the device switch wizard to move my things (like numbers and all ) onto my new device.. is there a way to wipe my old bb, so it will be like when I 1st got it. So the phone numbers and the and my old settings are gone?

First of all be sure to BACK UP what you currently have on your BB. Then, make sure that have the vendor specific software and the desktop manager downloaded. When you download the software for your 8330 you should be able to download the specific instructions for installation. Install the desktop manager software (most recent version that your carrier has) and then follow the instructions for updating the software. If you don't need to update or re-install the software you can then just wipe the curve and re-sync.

Now, to wipe your Curve, go into Options - security options - general settings. When you have the general settings screen there, click the application button (blackberry button next to the trackball). On the pop up menu you'll see wipe handheld. Select that and you'll be asked to confirm that you want to wipe your handset, so enter blackberry.

That will wipe EVERYTHING off of your Curve and you can start fresh.
