text messaging problem

when i receive messages from ppl in my phone book all I get is their number and not who the message is from. So can anybody tell me whats going on and if there is anything I can do besides go see the tech.

Do you have the same problem with Caller ID on your incoming calls, or is it text messages only?

no my caller id shows up just not my text messages. not sure why this is happening and it drives me nuts cause i have ppl all over the country who text me and i don't have their numbers memorized.

So can anybody help me?
