I saw this somewhere but can't remember where. But anyway, this is what I was told, "our policy has changed to $7.50/month for every month left on your voice contract, and $2.50/month for every month left on your data contract.

hmmm I knew if I upgraded now when my contract isn't up til Feb that I would have to pay $90 additional. But I figured if I left CS that I would have to pay a huge etf like VZW is $350 now.

Thanks for answering my question. Still thinking about what I am going to do. Leave now or wait to see if CS gets the new bb within the next couple of months.

According to the email reply I got if u suspend your account u still have to pay your monthly bill. For me that would come to almost $500. So I will be waiting til they get a new bb. Hopefully that will be soon since mine is still acting up.

yes, suspending is totally different from termination of contract. when you suspend, you do have to keep paying your monthly bill. when you terminate, you pay out the rest of your contract and are free to go.

suspend is what you typically do if you lose your phone or need to temporarily suspend service (i.e. when my nieces grades start slacking, i dropped her plan to the cheapest and suspended her line. i still paid her monthly bill, but she couldn't use her phone at all).

terminate is ending your service period whether you're under contract or not. it's totally leaving csouth. $500 is a bit high to terminate your account with csouth.

it's been a while, but if you log into your account now and select a line, it will tell you how many months you have remaining on your contract and how much it will cost to upgrade (Replace) your device. See chart below

Range Replacement Fee
0 - 11 Months $360.00
12 - 14 Months $120.00
15 - 17 Months $90.00
18 - 20 Months $65.00
21 - 23 Months $40.00

*Replacement fee is subject to change. A trade-in credit may be available for your existing device.
