Default Cellular South purchases Corr Wireless

Cellular South to Buy Corr Wireless
Friday, 3:42 PM by Eric M. Zeman

Today Cellular South, which is based in Mississippi, announced its intent to purchase Alabama-based Corr Wireless. Corr Wireless employs about 130 people and provides services in the northern regions of Alabama to about 30,000 customers. The cities of Huntsville, Madison, Decatur, and Gadsden are located in Corr's service footprint, as are Blount, Cullman, Marshall, Dekalb and Jackson counties. Corr also provides service in Rome, Ga. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and it must meet with regulatory approval before it can be completed.

This poses a question. This is a GSM carrier so will CSouth convert to CDMA or offer both?

The same question I asked as well. Interesting.

What would it take to convert I wonder?

Does Corr own any towers?

Great! Maybe my phone will work better when I'm in the Sipsey Wilderness Area. I doubt it will though, that's a pretty remote area.
