Default ? for cellular south customers

I am thinking of going tomorrow and getting a curve. For me since it is an early upgrade it will be over $259. Do you think it is worth it?

Well worth it. I ABSOLUTELY love it and wouldn't trade it for another! W-a-y better than the Pearl or 8830WE.

I tried the 7250 BB way back in 06 and swore I would never have a BB again until I tried the curve, now I won't have anything but a BB. It only took me a couple of hours to figure out how to work it and don't know how I made it without it. Good luck with the Curve.

I strongly recommend the curve. I have the 8330 and I love it. My only complant is I drop calls when I am at home.
The technical support has no idea why and has no suggestions.

You might want to see if you are roaming on another providers tower. Check your network settings too, see if that might help.

I would get a Blackberry, if you want it. Curve is very nice...very nice. So is the Pearl, for its size. Pearl does not have a lot of memory. I would, if I were you, research a little and find out what is best for you.

In May (1st part of maybe), the Bold "may" be at Cellular South. Do a little research, and see what is best for you.

I have the Pearl and I like it, just don't like the low memory.

These phones also give you problems if you sit between two towers or when they change towers sometimes they drop calls. Did you have trouble with previous phones at your house????

I have always had a razor ( also my husband still has one). He has only 1 bar when we are at home but he NEVER drops a call.
My BB drops calls frequently mainly at home (CS told me it is because I have rebar in the building material of my home) hmmm. I find that a total crock.

Please give me more specifics on checking my network settings. I will add I do not have a data plan on this phone. I do not get on the internet with the phone. Just use it as a glorified date planner.

Any suggestions?

I previously had a Razr2 and the curve has much better reception. I am very surprised to see people having trouble with reception. Even with a rubber case I talk in areas now that I NEVER could before. Did you try putting the phone on AUTOMATIC in the network settings?

Well, I did try that and I didn't see any change.

I might add, that the signals (number of bars) is contantly changing --- only a minute or two and it will go from a red X (no strength at all) to 1 or 2 bars.
I have dropped 15 calls per day. I have gotten where I avoid talking on my
BB while at home so I don't have a total fit everyday. Keep giving me things to try. I open to anything at this point.

Frustrated is NOT even close to what I have been going through.

Did you do a service complaint through email with CS? if you had service with the previous phone it may be the local tower. I don't think the fact that you don't have the data plan makes a difference.

Well, I called CS not 1 but 2 times. After an hour of doing different functions to the BB customer support told me that she could not find anything wrong with the phone. But, If I wanted to she could do a warranty claim but if CS could not reproduce the exact complaint that I would have a hefty bill to deal with. Option 2 was I could do a insurance claim for $150.00. (the phone is only 2 months old).
A suggestion from a friends was a repeater. Supposed to help with cellphone signal. HOWEVER, the starting price is 350.00. I don't think so.
I think I might need to pull out ole' faithful (razor). Doesn't look like I will ever get this straighted out. Unless, I change cellphone providers.
