Red face Cellular South 8330 users

Ok looks like the pearl flip is all we have for now. I have the pearl 8130 now and my only complaint is the screen and memory size. Do those of you with curves think it's worth the upgrade @ this time? I'm having a hard time making a decision because I'm holding on to the hope that a new BB will hit CS soon. Probably not though. Any thoughts?

I looked at some reviews on the flip and it actually has more intenal memory than the Curve.

I believe it has 128mb of internal memory and the Curve only has 96mb.

I will say that if one wants to stay with the Pearl format with more memory then, maybe the flip will be your answer.

I just don't like the way they designed the flip portion of the phone, but hey, it might grow on me... Don't know.

Is this speculation or fact? The reason I ask is so far the rumors with other carriers are a lot sooner than that, in the past cell south has released non exclusive blackberry's within weeks of Verizon.......below is the latest rumors on the Tour for Verizon.....november seems like a stretch to me......

Verizon's date is still the 13th to the best of my knowledge and I'll let ya know if it changes. No point in fighting about it.

Matt you disappeared for a while??? Lol. Personally I love my 8330 Curve and don't know what I did without it. Of course everybody complains about Youtube but if that's all I have to complain about in a phone, no problem. Dan just weigh your options and see what works for you, with the pearl flip just being released I wouldn't jump on it right away, at least until some of the user reveiws come out.

I concur with blueline. For for time BB'ers, I would not recommend the Pearl, but for those that have always used a Pearl...go for it. Yes, it does have 128 vs 96.

I am having the same issue deciding. I currently have the pearl and am trying to decide if I want the pearl flip, curve, or wait till maybe another bb comes out.

I had the Pearl 8130 until about 2 weeks ago when I got my Curve. I freakin' LOVE this device!! DH still has his Pearl and doesn't like my new phone at all. Have you considered going into the store to look at the Flip and the Curve? That might help you decide. Good luck!

I've seen both because I do have friends with each. Curve is bigger than I would like but I can deal. I hate to give up suretype though. My biggest thing is getting either and then something new coming out. Flip is starting to seem like my best option. I will wait another month or two to see some reviews. I hope anyone that switches and has CS will share their thoughts here. My friend with the flip is T mobile and her only complaint is the hinge is shaky.

I forgot to mention how adorable your avatar is!

My DH doesn't want to give up his Pearl because he likes the size of the phone and he thinks SureType is the greatest thing ever! I wasn't really a fan of SureType and wanted a full QWERTY keyboard, so the Curve is a perfect fit for me. Also, he was able to get the phone for $49 (through his job), so the price was right!!

I think you're smart to weigh your options! Keep us posted.

Well I dropped my 8130 one too many times so I am unable to wait for a full review of the Pearl flip. I wanted to wait a few months and see what fellow CS users thought. Since I need a phone now my 8330 is on the way. Should be here today or Monday. Thanks for your opinions they were all very helpful.

It arrived today and I love the screen but it will take some time to get used to the phone size. I also can't get it to update to 4.5. It arrived with 4.3. I will give it a few more days to see what I really think.

I'm so upset. I'm sending my 8330 back because the USB port is broken. It only works sometimes. Now I know why I kept getting errors when using DM. It was connecting then reconnecting. Putting it in the mail this morning and will be without a BB for about a wk I guess. The ebay guy said the phone was new but I'm not so sure. He will put a new one in the mail as soon as he receives this one. On my way to the post office. I'm so frustrated! If anyone on the coast has a old BB the want to lend me for a few days so I don't have to use my old nokia 6255I let me know. lol THanks ya'll
