Cellular South 1XEV -

Anybody know whats up with the 1 hour of 1XEV that was going on friday afternoon in Hattiesburg, I'm hoping its them testing a new soon to be tower upgrade.. and not just a tower went down and we were roaming on verizon ev network?

I've heard that CSouth has been testing EDVO in several areas. I'll keep my eyes/ears open. I experienced it in Memphis a few weeks ago and loved it.

Cellular south is always testing something it seems...When I was at USM it seemed they were always changing something... it gets kinda crazy but hey its cheap unlimited lol

I want a new BB as well the kickstart(pearl flip) or even a Storm if they would just add one feature, a slide oout keypad and trackball, I don't want to rely totally on a touchscreen. Even my nintendo DS has keypad controls to use as well as the touchscreen.

I am sitting in Jackson right now and they have 1XEV and I can't get over the speed it's like cable internet and my home town is stuck on dial-up. How long before they have this all over Mississippi. It is making me love my BB even more

My blackberry storm up in columbus is picking up 1xEV but its on Alltel's towers, not Cellular South's.. .and my service for the last week has sucked horribly..

Cellular south's service is pretty good, however Verizon changed something to have us avoid roaming on their towers now

Do any of you have the frequent upgrade plan at Cellular South? I want to upgrade to the Curve and I had the frequent upgrade plan but they took it away but I didn't think they could just take a feature away.

Okay enough already with the upgrade question, EVDO works great in the Memphis metro area, has great speed and doesn't burn your battery up!!! Good move CSouth!
