Question Can't sign-in AOL Webmail BIS Browser--CSouth

Just got new BB thru Cellular South. It pushes my AOL new email to BB email just fine. I can use BB's Internet Browser (BIS Browser, not Blackberry Browser) to go to aol.com, m.aol.com, mail.aol.com, etc., or any AOL site just fine. I can click the Mail link ok. But when I enter Screenname & Password, and then click the Sign-In Button (which is never highlighted by the way), I receive the error Message HTTP 420 UNUSED, which has something to do with the origin server. This does not happen on my computer. I've tried both Screenname and Email Address.

I can go to any site thru the BB Internet Browser just fine...I just cannot sign-in to AOL Webmail or Mobile Mail.

Is anyone else having this problem with Cellular South BB on BIS RIM? I can sign-in to Webmail just fine on my husband's BB Blackberry Browser which is BES on AT&T Cingular, so I don't think it is an AOL problem.

Is CS blocking AOL webmail? Any ideas. This is driving me nuts. I am going on vacation & want to be able to go to Webmail so I can see all of my old mail with reservations, etc. Only had Mobile for a few days, so no old emails on BB.

I did a Certificate Syncronization & added the AOL certificates to BB, but still no go.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Red face Thanks Wallpaperguy!

I'll try that. Didn't know about Bolt. I did try Opera Mini but same results...
Error HTTP 420. I know there is a diff in the 2 platforms BIS & BES, and that BIS uses Internet Browser & BES uses Blackberry Browser, but they both push AOL mail to the BB email, so it doesn't seem logical that BB or AOL is doing the block, as I can check webmail on my husband's BES BB, but different provider. Unless it is some setting in IntBrowser I haven't figured out that Cellular South has messed up.

Any one out there have AOL Mail or AIM Mail (same thing) using Cellular South with BIS BB? If so, would you be willing to check to see if you can get to the AOL Webmail through the Browser? Almost any AOL site has the MAIL link. Maybe it is just how the tech initialized my phone. Been trying to get an answer out of them but to no avail to date.

Thanks again for the suggestion. I'll let you know after I try it.

Wink TO Wallpaperguy & Others Watching Me Squirm

Well, the Bolt confused me. Went to the site & it said for specific BB's download go here..got a JAD file...???? It had a blank-like windows icon...so I could not make heads nor tails from it...so therefore, couldn't try Bolt. But thank you...perhaps I'll figure out how to download it someday.

Anyway, FYI to all & WPguy, after hours of yakking with Tech Supports from numerous aol, cell south, (but no BB person available)---I & we the Techs have just figured there must be something "really" messed up with this phone's system bigtime. Lots of conflicts in settings & no one can figure out WHY I CAN NOT LOG-IN TO ONE PARTICULAR WEB ADDY THROUGH THE BROWSER & THAT IS AOL WEBMAIL.

SO, I have given up & decided to make a Blackberry Pie with this sucker and return the BB Pearl Flip 8230 to Cellular South & get something different. I don't want to but..no solution from Support & I have had only a few hours sleep since I got it last Saturday. Don't want to. as I like the keyboard on this phone, but time is a wasting on my return policy (& I signed the Almighty Contract). The phone was free anyway. I'll get a Droid or HTC or something that I know AOL made a Portal to contact email.

Guess I'll just buy another "Brand" that I know will work with AOl Mobile Mail.

Will keep you updated...maybe the Store Tech has an answer (and yes I did buy the Brooklyn Bridge).

Thanks for your help.
