Default 3G in wayne county now active!
I just looked at my tour and it now says 1xev!!!!! This happened within the last 10 minutes or so. Is this a fluke???

Looks like the entire southeast part of miss is now 3g capable. The coverage map has been updated on the site. They have been busy this past month

Is 1XEV 3g though? I heard that it is slower than 3g and doesn't have some of the benefits. Is that true?

It is the CDMA version of 3g.

The main differences are with GSM you can talk and surf at the same time. Currently with CDMA you can not.

Speeds are comparable though.
