Like I said off contract is 549 with att. No activation. Who cares about the box. I only said something because he said it can be used on att. If someone wants to use one on att they can buy one cheaper. No point in it being unlocked.

No, but those who are on T-Mobile would probably do anything to get one at this point. And I'm sure there are people who care about the box. Plus, even if you purchase off contract, don't you need to pay for activation? Or is the activation fee just on upgrades? I wouldn't know since I am on Verizon

The website indicates an asterisk next to the "month to month" purchase (the $549 price point you noted), the only choice besides 1 yr and 2 yr. The asterisk is footnoted as "monthly data and voice required" and "activation fee applies".
Your mileage may vary...

And if someone doesn't like the price they can always counter-offer, right?
