    No phone carrier or insurance company disseminates that type of info, but most phones anyone gets from a manufacturer or ins company tends to be refurbished, from my experience. With that said, the phone had been used briefly and there were no issues. Usually refurbished means it has to be up to the original manufacturers specs and performance. Keep in mind that people who aren't that tech savvy can claim phones as problematic and such, without there being any significant hardware issues or any hardware issues at all i.e. software problems.

    Maybe someone with more in-depth knowledge can tell us where refurbished units are actually refurbished at.
