Default What device do you prefer?

There is a lot of back and forth on the forums about which device is best, RIM is dead, android and iOS are the best, blah, blah....anyhow, I am a business owner and need a top notch device to keep things rolling along.

I've always used bb and still really enjoy it as it makes life outside the office much easier. So I pose the question to business people: which device do you prefer now a days? And why? I need a perspective from people who aren't just regular consumers.

Gotcha, but play along a minute. For the sake of this question you can not cross platform....gotta pick em the way they are. I still like blackberry but admittedly don't know enough about the other platforms (specifically android) to know if I'm missing an opportunity here.

Depends on the business. To me:

BlackBerry (which suits me):
Great for lots of emails/texts
Great for selecting/copying/pasting text (hardware keyboard)
Tough -- drop it all you want without the need for those huge bulky cases
Consistently good at phone calls
Longest battery life in a smart phone

Android/iOS:
Great for rich media
Better chance of finding apps for specific industry verticals
Likely to see more near term developments for these platforms

So me personally, I find BB better because:

I deal with lots of text daily -- emails. I like to copy and paste lots of data around on the device. I drop it a lot, but it holds up fine. I would hate charging the battery during the day. I do not use a lot of media on a phone, and what media I do use I find the BB handles just fine.

Good analogy. I have felt the same way but always thought I was missing something since my experience with android is virtually nothing. I know I would have a hard time switching to iOS as I have an iPad and while I like it, it wouldn't be my first choice in a handheld at this point.

I own my own business so can use any phone I want. I use a BB (9700) b/c of the keyboard and battery life. My wife has an Android, and she loves it, but after playing with it, I realize how much I like my BB. I don't play games, watch videos or need 1,000s of apps. I work. I need a phone that makes me more productive and efficient. If no one else likes my phone, I don't really care. If you're an Android or iPhone user, that's great...they're great devices, but I like my BB because it has an awesome keyboard, great email/text and long battery life. That's what I value the most, so that's why I use a BB, and am looking forward to 9900.

What do you guys think of the new os7 devices coming out? I really like the look/sound of the 9850 as I am a touch screen guy. 9900 also sounds awesome, just wish my eyes were a little better.

BB purely for battery life and the keyboard.
When im working on-call i dont want to worry about the battery dying, leave it on and the battery lasts a week.
In business there is almost nothing better.... until windows phone 7 Mango update come out.

BB. Security, keyboard, and battery. Lots of e-mail in my life and BB does a fine job of handling those messages.

HECK NO!!! I don't like the security leaks on that os. I am afraid to type anything into my sgs2 because I am afraid that my info will get stolen.

And I like the 9900.
