Default User fields don't synch properly

I have a company provided 8703e and am using Outlook 2002. I created a form for sales contacts using all four user fields in Outlook The user field length is correct in Outlook, but when synched with the BlackBerry, the field length is wrong - truncated, so I am missing some of the data. Any ideas?

Hmm, have you mapped those fields in the Desktop Manager sync configuration?

Since it is a corporate account with many users, I believe we are using Enterprise server. All info entered into Outlook at the office is wirelessly updated on the BlackBerry almost instantly whereever I am in cell range.
I have talked to our IT department about the problem, but unfortunately for me, they are busy and won't be able to look at the problem for a couple of weeks. I am hoping to be able to come up with a suggestion or two and get this solved sooner. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Cool, I am gonna ask a friend to look at this thread.

You know a six pack of beer always helps those types work faster.

Specifically which fields are you using (and which one is getting truncated).

Beer does help....

Default Synching problems

The standard fields found in "contacts -> view" were mapped and working great. I had the IT guy map the "user 1,2,3,4" fields to outlook (not mapped before). These are the fields that are truncated. All previous fields are still working fine. I have about 350 business contacts that need these three fields. The strange part is that some contacts have different field lengths than others, but all are short - 4 - 10 characters, user 3 only has 2 characters for all contacts. All data in Outlook is complete, it is when it gets to the BlackBerry that it is shortened.

Thanks for the help.

Well don't keep us in suspense...what was the solution? Or didn't they share that with you?

Sorry, but they didn't tell me what they did. I just got an e-mail saying they made a change and to let them know if it worked.
