Default Tour; BES and IT policy question

I have a Tour that I recently connected to my company's BES. Verizon automatically switched my plan up to the corporate plan and when I found out I called and had it switched back to the personal plan. I also requested that the IT team de-activate my BES authorization. I understand that there are IT policies in place now on my Tour and I would like it to be removed. I have requested that the IT team send out a blank policy to restore my Tour back to it's initial policy settings. Assuming doing so will wipe my Tour, what databases can I keep that don't have ties to the IT policies in place. Is it easier to say what to back up or what not to back up?

Ultimately I'm thinking I'll be happy with this because I'll get some functionality back from Facebook etc. but want to make sure that I do everything properly so I can avoid the hassle of going back to OTA download 20+ apps and re setup my e-mail accounts. Can anyone give me an idea of the specific steps I need to take to do this? I have referenced the Blackberry KB files for removing IT policy but it mentions backing up the phones data. Since I don't want to maintain any existing policies I don't want to backup files that will re-institute the policies by accident. Thanks!

Wiping your device won't remove the IT policy. Here's a link to the forums which discusses removing an IT policy. forums.crackberry.com/f3/remove-i-t-policy-blackberry-569/

Backing up is a very good idea. Key databases to selctivley restore will be Address book calendar, BBM, SMS, Messages, Options, Tasks, Notes, Profiles as well as any other items you find might be useful.

Your OTA apps will not be backed up by the DT manager backup process. Best bet is to use BBSAK for app backup.

Hope that helps!!

Cheers, Isaac
