Default Storing and openning document from memory card

I keep running out of memory as I save articles and attachments from emails I need. This fills up phone memory. I have created a file on my memory card and can store doc's there ,but cannot access them from the phone. So my phone acts as a flash memory device but I wish I can could open files on the memory card. Blackberry should fix this on future phones.
I know you can do this on Windows mobile so may jump to the HTC when Us cellular comes out with it. Anyone seen a third party software that allows you to open doc from the microsd card ?

Default

It is somewhat fixed on newer OSs coming soon.

You'll have Docs2Go which can open documents you place on the Media Card from your PC.

BeamBerry is still the best for me, so far. I can open documents with it, and save to the Media Card as well...
