SIM card compatibility with other phones
We've got some older Blackberry 8700C phones in-house that we're recycling and making available to employees for personal use. I called AT&T to unlock the phone so that an employee could use it with their T-Mobile SIM card. The T-Mobile card did not work with the phone. This same SIM card has worked with Motorola and Nokia phones, but no luck with an AT&T Blackberry. Does anyone have any ideas why?

Are you sure it was unlocked? Did they give you an unlock code to input in the blackberry?

Yes. I did receive an unlock code. It looks like the SIM card is not compatible between the two phones.
