Sending Emails From BB OFF BES Through Lotus Notes
Hello Everyone,
I'm not really a "tech" guy and have no understanding on how emails work (IE POP server etc) so I'm afraid that any help I might receive will have to be in the format that you would use to explain something to a 5 year-old. (I apologise for this)
I have been reading for quite some time now through the treads and days on the internet to find a solution for my problem but haven't found any thing that fits my problem exactly.
The company I work for has a BES but my department has no access due to limited slots and I need the access. My problem is that I can't find a way to send or reply to emails from my BB and have them showing my work email. I have a Blackberry internet connection. I already have a rule forwarding my mail to my BB email address.
I thank you in advance for the help and time. - 06-02-2012, 03:41 AM #2
I would suggest checking your companies IT policy first - most companies prohibit the automatic forwarding of emails outside of the company.

Ask the IT if you can forward to a seperate and new account, such as "MyWorkEmployee@gmail.com" If they allow that, forward to that mail box in particular. In the BIS, change the email address in the "Respond To" and the "Auto BCC" fields to the Work address you have in the company. That way anything you send from this address will be sent or placed into your work email account. may sound a little odd, but very do able.

With the process I provided, the person you are sending to would only see your work address, I presumed that what you were wanting them to see.
