Default Send PIN messages outside BES

I can only receive PIN messages from outside users outside BES - when I send a PIN (or use BBM) I get a checkmark that shows a "D" but never turns to an "R" for read. I can view incoming BBMs, but no one ever receives mine. I heard something about being on a BES it blocks outgoing PIN msgs? Is this true? If so, do you know how to fix?

Outgoing PIN messages might be blocked by policy pushed from your server. Ask your BES admin.

OTOH it might just be the setup to send is broken and nobody told the BES admin yet so it ain't getting fixed.

I send and receive Pin messages thru my BES account regularly with no problem. I get the "D" for delivered icon, but I've never gotten an "R" for read. Apparently that's either blocked by my BES or not supported by Verizon. It doesn't inhibit my operations either way.

I had the same issue before I had them remove me from the BES. Your IT person has to change the option to ALLOW. They don't block you but apparently they have to do something to allow all things PIN related. Good luck!
