Need help transferring BIS contacts to BES

I'm hoping that someone here can help me with this. I'm about to add BES services to a BB (8330) that's currently connected to the same Exchange server with BIS. In other words we're not switching servers or accounts -- just BB services from BIS to BES. The contacts that are currently on the BB are important and I'm wondering how/when I would move them into the BES server contact database.They're backed up in DM but I don't know if I'll be able to restore them into the BES contact database after the switch. Also not sure they'll remain on the device after the switch... Many thanks in advance.

When BES is setup on your phone, contacts on the phone and contacts on your exchange server will be synced together so you will have access to the contacts on the phone and on your computer without any action on your part.
