Unhappy Logging on to BES Optional?

I recently purchased (not Company purchased) Bold 9650, however, I like check my work emails when not in the office through BES. I went through enterprise activation process successfully, however, I cannot find a way to "log off" of work email server and use the phone for personal things. In the past with older BB I was able to access the BES only when I wanted to look at work...there does't seem to be a way to manage when I am connected to BES? Please help anyone???

Sincerely,
working 24/7

Does your organization allow your BlackBerry to access E-mail through OWA?

There are large advantages to BES. However, that being said...

Just because your device receives the E-mail doesn't mean you have to respond to, or even read it...Just make a custom profile that's "OFF DUTY" and make the Messages for the BES not make any noise, but everything else be Normal. Then you can set your profile OFF DUTY and not hear notifications on new E-mails.

Once you are connected... that's it.
Like John.P says, make a different profile for it.

Why would you want to clog up your personal phone with work emails?
Blackberry contracts are cheap and usually have a free handset, if they want you to look at emails when out of the office, then get a free one from the company.
