Angry Interminent Messages lost on 8830

Hi,
HAs anyone out there inteminently lost messages on a BB8830. Memory seems a problem however the status shows 22.5MB available. This is not consistent and only effects emails and pin messages. Saved messages are not effected. No MMS type messages on the device. Other stats are a large contact table of over 4000 contacts.

Hi There,

There is a setting in Messages>Options>General Options called "Keep Messages". This can be set for different time lengths. It will auto delete messages that are older than xx days.

thanks cc420,
however settings are "keep messages forever", which clearly implies no deletion untill the device runs out of all the space. With 22MB still available is there another threshold like total number of items(messages+contacts) that is a limiting factor?????

suggestion:

Under mail options and reconciliation - what's your setting for conflicts? Set it to "handheld wins" and see if that doesn't help.
