Default ical attachment question

I have an issue with the blackberry calendar, regarding attachments. I have curve (8320) and sync with ical. Is there a way for file attachments to ical events to be brought over to bb calendar? I realize I can just email the attachments to my device, but sure would be easier if the attachments could be synced as well as the events. Also, I use missing sync. any thoughts would be appreciated!

This should not be a problem. When you go to sync with DM on the PC change your settings to one way sync device to desktop for your calendar. You can also use the same settings for address book, ect. or set them not to sync at all.

thanks for the info. i tried your suggestion. I use a macbook, and sync with missingsync for blackberry. did adjust the settings to "always overwrite handheld with desktop data" and still the attachment (an email with flight info) doesn't come over. Could it be because missingsync doesn't handle email? would this work with pocketmac?

I have to admit I have never done this before. I created a test appointment using one of my emails. For some reason only the person and subject come up in the notes, not the email details on the BB calendar. Are you experiencing the same issue?

my issue is that if I attach a document, say a flight itinerary in form of an airline issued email as an attachment to the ical event, that attachment doesn't come over in the bb calender. I thought that maybe this info would show up in the "notes" section. but alas, nada...

Now that might be a MS thing. Here is what I do for my calendar, use GoogleSync with BusySync with iCal. Open up a google calendar account and DL, OTA GoogleSync to your BB. This wirelessly syncs your BB to Google. BusySync syncs Google to iCal, works great. The only thing I use PocketMac for is syncing contacts. BTW you can also check out Spanning Sync. But that should take care of your problem.

BusySync - Sync iCal and Google Calendar - from BusyMac

Spanning Sync - Sync iCal and Google Calendar

BTW, just a word of advice, next time you have a Mac question, post it in the Mac section. A lot more Mac users will see it there.
