How do make my phone quiet when ringing?

You know, regular cell phones usually have a button that one can press to make it shut up to ignore the call. My 8700 does not seem to do that. Ideas?

When I had my 8700, when it rang I just scrolled the wheel a little bit and the ringing stopped. Dont remember if it stopped it completely though

when it's in the holster I reach up and hit one of the volume buttons it shuts it up....

out of holster low beep is all i need.
