Default exchange 2010 and BES 5

    hi there

i need some help... ive used the search function and google but still havent found what im looking for.
a while ago i built a bes 5 server to go with our new exchange 2010 platform. this was derailed for a while but i inhstalled bes anyway.
now 2010 is alive and in pilot phase and im trying to get users working. so ive migrated my account from bes 4 to 5 and am at "activation stage" this keeps failing/retrying etc and im unsure if this is because the exchange server name has changed since the initial derailed project.

can someone explain to me. does bes recognise the exchange server based on the location of the besadmin mailbox or do i need to manually enter the cas array vip name for exchange 2010 somewhere on the bes server so it knows where to go etc? the dns names have changed for exchange but i cannot find anywhere within bas or the server config options to actually set any exchange properties. the activation keeps retrying, i see the edt email in my inbox on my pc but nothing ever reaches the device. ive tried wireless and ota but neither works. followed rim guide for setup and configured send as permissions etc etc but it still aint working and i just dont know why

Couple of questions:Where is your SQL database located? Are you running service pack 1 on the exchange server 2010? On your BAS is the Admin account setup? Are all of the services running on the BB server? Is the BB-Admin account on the new 2010 server or the old server? How many SRP ID's do you have?

    hello
sql database is not local but is in the same vlan as the bes server
    2010 sp1
the admin account is setup and can login using etc
all services are running on the bes server
the bbadmin account is on the 2010 server
not sure about srp id's. i think just one according to the sql query i just ran against the db "select servicename, srpid, srpkey from serverconfig"

You will need a second srp id in order to get the second server up and running. Call RIM support.

Yes to your question, on port 3101. Must be able to communicate with RIM using the port 3101.
