Do Not Disturb - Excemptions

I activated the Quiet profile with the Do Not Disturb option of the Phone on yes.
On the other hand, I do want to recieve very important calls from certain people, so in the Profile options I activated the Use Active Profile Except for and added the people from whom I do want to recieve the calls.
The problem being that these calls are still rejected. Is there a way to activate the Do Not Disturb option and still recieve calls from exceptions?
