Delete email off of BB after placed in folder?

So when I move an email in my Outlook to a folder I then get a a folder icon with the email on my BB device. If I then delete it off the BB its deleted out of the folder. How do I delete this off of my device without deleting out of the folder?

Check the settings on your BIS account on Blackberry server.

My colleague currently has my blackberry so i dont know the exact settings but go to your emails, options, email reconciliation... delete from device??

The option is there, i just cant remember where abouts.
