Default Darn Clock things...help...

In my settings I notice there, is Blackberry time and Network time. I have bounced between the two (I currently have it off) and my clock on my device is an hour off sometimes. This is also causing conflicts with my outlook and messing up my appointments on my device. I do have my synch settings on conflicts in the calendar for outlook to always win, and to notify me of the conflicts. Help, please...

I use the Network setting all the time, and have never had this happen - is it an hour exactly? could be a time zone thing.

I'd like to know the solution too. I travel frequently across time zones and neither "network" nor "blackberry" settings seem to change the time the phone indicates. I haven't tried "off" because I don't know what it does...

It seems logical to me that "network" gets its feed from the local cellular source, which you would think would adjust to the time zone you are in. This is very problematic when trying to use the phone as an alarm clock!

I know in the past I recall noting that network and blackberry time would be different by about 2 or 3 minutes. I have never seen it off by an hour. Do you happen to live next to the time zone?

Blackberry devices do not change timezones automatically - that's by design. So when you travel you do have to change it manually.

Nick - you may have to install the dst patch on yours since it's an hour off. First check under Options and see if you have '2007 DST Patch' at the top of the Options list.

If you do not, you can download the patch from your BB browser by going to www . blackberry . com/dst2007. Just follow the download instructions.
