Default Cross Platform Mobile Desktop Management Software

TL;DR Looking for suggestions for Cross Platform management suites for Smartphones.

The organization I work with primarily has BlackBerry phones, however a few individuals have Iphones. The mail client we use, FirstClass, does not have an app yet for the BlackBerry however there is one for Iphone and as such we have leaned a bit more in that direction as the 3rd party sync client we use for the BlackBerry's is a cost we would love to trim.

Due to the non standardized nature of the Smartphone market, I am not overly interested in investing in a management package for these devices that hooks us to one product as we have seen our needs shift between products a few times over the years and anticipate this is going to be the case in years to come.

I have heard of a few products for Policy, Remote troubleshooting, Stats, reports, ect that covers multiple phone platforms. Some examples I have read up on are MobleIron and AirWatch. Do any of you have experience with any of these products, or have another you could suggest for me to look in to?

MobleIron to me looks to be the most established product I have come across, however due to high demand my organization would need over 1000 devices to qualify for a trial, or a Purchase order. AirWatch, the Blackberry app is in beta. Being that we have 200 blackberry's, I wont be looking much more into this product.

Our main need to the ability to make device configuration changes from our central location as our end users are spread over the region. Remote troubleshooting would be very valuable, as well as usage statistics.

Thanks in Advance.

Never going to have one console for all devices. Not unless you want to give up some management. RIM keeps the BES API's used by BAS closed so you will only be able to add / remove / set activation passwords with another MDM console. You will still need BES and need BAS to configure / manage your BES environment.

We're presently using BES / BES X / Good for mobile device support. Good is making progress but every other MDM is around what BES 3.6 had feature wise and moving to BES 4.0.

Your going to be limted by your email platform.
