If you're on the BIS, then go into your Messages > Options > Email Settings > Message Services = BIS Email Address > Confirm Delivery or Confirm Read change to yes. Thats how you confirm emails have been read or delivered on the BIS. If you're on the BES, I'm not sure I went through my BES email settings and couldnt find an option to confirm.
