Default Calendars

Is there any way to set up the BB calendar like Google Calendars where you set up different categories for events that are color coded?

How (and why) do calendar events get associated with an email account? And how do you change it because all my events get dumped into one email so my BB calendar ends up being one color. I like being able to tell at a glance what type of event is coming up and the color code lets me do that (green = client meeting, blue = personal, etc). Is this just not possible on the BB?

I use Pocket Informant for my calendar. I love it. I color code my different categories. WebIS, Inc is the maker. Check it out. If you like what you see PM me for my name as I can get credit for referals. Not only can you colorize categories, you can also assign icons for categories.

I have always wanted to do something similar. I use outlook for my calendar and it bugs me when the color coded events are not sync the way I had them in outlook.

Same here. It's a great PIM application with many cusomizable options. Only thing is, it runs kind of slow when you have the auto sync to the OEM PIM.

With the 4.5 OS upgrade you have a calendar assigned to each email address you have pushed to your BB. When you create a new appointment you can change the color by changing which email it is associated with. I have 5 different colors because I have five email accounts coming to my BB.
