My phone was stolen two nights ago and it was the bold 9000. How can I get it blacklisted so that the person can never use it? Please advise. And if I pin my (pin for the bold blackberry and it comes back with an red X) does it mean that it cannot be used? I am will ROgers.

You can never Blacklist it completely. Report it lost/stolen to your carrier and they will not allow it to be activated on their networks but that is all. Since the Bold is EASILY unlocked, it can be used on any GSM carrier no problem.

Call your insurance provider if you have one, if not, you can just get a new SIM to pop into another phone if you have it.

Hey Rainbow:

If it is with Rogers whoever has found it will not be able to activate it with Rogers. And since Rogers and Fido are currently the only GSM providers in Canada and they are essentially the same company I think you'll be okay. I know I lost my BB in March and told Rogers about it they said at that time they can only wipe the data on my BB but not deactivate it. They were working on a system which is supposed to be up and running by April 1st that when a phone on Rogers network is reported lost or stolen it will not be activated at all even with a new sim card dropped in. So I guess you were lucky at least in this regard.
