Default BIS to BES help please

Just when I got everything in order on BIS, my company turns on BES. So now I've got some growing pains I hope some others know how to resolve.
1> When I do the Enterprise Activation, it keeps getting stuck on 90 or 92 or 98%, then stops. Anyone know why and how to get it to go 100% Everything on the list has a completed next to it EXCEPT for Calendar, which is always the one that is stuck on "initializing".
2> Even in this state, Calendar, Tasks, and MemoPad work. Meaning I can make change son either BB or computer and it quickly syncs up on the other side. NICE!
BUT, the email part is not working correctly.
Here's the problems:
a. On the messages, i have a bunch of emails that I can't delete. I've tried everything and they are just stuck there. New ones come in, get deleted, but these are just stuck there.
b. Not sync'ing. Both BB and computer get new emails. When I delete on BB or delete on computer, the other side doesn't get deleted.

When going from BIS to BES, do I need to delete the old email BIS email acct?

Thanks for any insight here.

In messages go to menu>email reconciliation and change the "Delete On" to "Mailbox & Handheld". This should delete them in both places.
Also,
I have BIS along with my BES with no problems.
Good luck

1. I don't know why your activation is getting stuck. It does sometimes take ten minutes or more to complete.

2a. The stuck emails are due to a sync issue between your device and the BES. Here is a thread that gives a solution:

2b. kladner's answer should fix this problem.

A BES account includes BIS, but sometimes the company will disable BIS for security reasons. If they don't disable it, you can have BIS accounts, but you shouldn't need the BIS account for your company email any longer.

Thanks kladner.
As it turns out when activation is stuck before it hits 100%, all sorts of stuff goes wrong including the new message tones stops working and sync issues.
So I finally just did a full wipe and let the whole thing start from scratch. And sure enough it fully activated and everything works. New email message tones are back, and everything sync's both ways correctly.

Hi Jeff,
I also fixed the stuck emails by doing a procedure I found on a thread. Just can't remember which one.

I haven't had time to really study to BB OS and really feel out of control on thei BB compared to when I had the Treo or even the Kyocera 7135 before that.

But crackberry's been very helpful.

The Memory Optimization Procedure that's linked in my sig is a great resource for learning about the OS and how it works, as well as for freeing up memory. If you haven't done it yet, it's well worth your time.
