I am relatively new to the Curve but am looking for a better email client. I recieve a lot of email throughout the day, and some of it is html and has different attachments. What does everyone suggest?

Thumbs up

I had the same problem, after spending a little time I ended up downloading and paying for BBSmart Email Viewer - You'll find the link on CrackBerry Store front page.

Well worth the money.

I receive so much email and SMS that I had to search the internet for an autoresponder program. I finally found the answer yesterday on Handango. imbusysoftware.com I don't know about your html problems but I do know this program fills a huge void.
Best,

When the BBSmart Email Viewer is installed does it replace the preloaded email reader on the blackberry, and if not how do you make it the default program? Thanks, Phil

BBSmart is an extension of the regular email program. It adds BBSmart options to your email menu so you can toggle it on or off as desired. They offer a free trial so give it a look. Products

Just thought I'd provide a quick update because we recently updated our site and I don't think that link works anymore.

Just head to the main page: BBSmart - Software for your PDA and follow the "BBSmart Email Viewer" link to find out a little bit more and also download a free trial.

Cheers,
eZainny.

Do you have to have the BB Internet Plan for BBSmart Email Viewer to work? i.e., will it work over wifi?

It's too bad we can't get an easy 3rd party fix like this for the lousy browser.

Beside the BBSmart and Empower recommendations above, if you're a Gmail user I have heard the Gmail client (not the mini-web interface) is quite nice (Google Apps – Mobile access to email, calendar and more is included)

Can't decide on BBSmart or Empower. Both are the same price and don't see a whole lot of difference between them. Would appreciate more feedback!

Forget both of them, with BIS 2.5 being out your curve can handle HTML email. Save your $$ and enjoy the blackberry email, its amazing now.

Default Faster Email

Forgive me if there's a more recent thread, but is there an email app that will pull POP3 email on demand and/or a regular user-defined interval? The default non-BES email app on my Curve 8320 will pull email as infrequently as every 15 minutes and I haven't found a way to "send and receive" at any time or specify a shorter interval (say every 2 minutes).

Any recommendations?
