Question BES to BESX User Device Migration

I'm curious if anyone has found a way to move a user/device from a BES to a BESX without having to wipe the phone.

The problem I'm running in to is that I have roughly 60 devices that are currently connected to a BES and need to be moved to a BESX. If I delete the account from the BES and create it on the BESX then try an activation, I get an error stating that the policy is not supported. The only way to get it to work is to wipe the device, then activate on the BESX.

As you can imagine, there are a few issues with this method:
1. The user loses all of their settings.
2. This process is VERY time consuming and inefficient.
3. Most of our devices are traveling constantly and are difficult for me to get my hands on.
4. Most of our devices are used by executives who wouldn't be happy if I had to wipe their phone.

So, if anyone has some helpful hints, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

I'm going through this also.
What i'm having to do at the moment is;
Backup the device
Security Wipe
Restore from the backup
Enterprise activation.

Dont ask me why this works, it just does for me

Default Fix

Actually, I found a better way to do this. Give me a few minutes and I'll find the info and post it on here.

Thanks,
Cody

Alright, here is a link to some info on it. I used the Blackberry User Transport Tool and it worked flawlessly. I guess I can't post links here because I haven't had 10 posts yet. So, just google the Blackberry User Transport Tool and you'll find it.

Let me know if you have any other questions. It sounds complicated since you have to create a manifest file and such, but it's really fairly easy. My users didn't even know they got moved.

Good luck!
