Im also an "internet sales manager" as well as inside sales. Just got my blackberry. Everyone else here uses wm based smart phones. I used to but decided to give the BB a try.

Does anyone know if there is software like gigglepop.com for the BB???

Sup J$ ice, ice baby?

that was a good joke.

Hey miplank, I just went to the website that you mentioned (gigglepop.com)
and it is really nice, from what I read on the support general questions, it runs on Palm operating system and windows (only with the touch screen)
so I am imagining it does not work with the BB becuse of that, but perhaps would be best to ask the compay.
I used to use a Treo Phone, for a long time, I-phone for like 4 months, and the Mogu, for like a week, and I definitly love the BlackBerry, since I get all my e-mail from right there, compose, e-mail templates, edit them, I terrorize my customers via e-mail, text messages, phone, messges, letters, comunication is and edge that this phone has giving me, over the dealerships that try earning their business over me.

it is a litte pain to learn how to use it, since is so complex and complete but once you get the hung of it, you will be addicted.

I would highly recomend you to buy the book called Black Berry for dummies,
it is great, teaches you alot of tricks, takes you to a whole different level.

add me to your body list Pin me up my pin# 32c874ec

have a wonderful night

Yeah...I know the gigglepop program wouldn't work on the blackberry. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a similar program for the BB.

That program is awesome. If you have the barcode scanner you can scan vehicles and book them out in seconds.

I just do it the old fashion way since I have to write down everything any way.
Unless I was the used car manager, who has to used it at all times, I would definitly buy a Palm OS PDA but a good one just for that and not a Treo.
but if you do find a software to that works witht he BB let me know, would be nice to learn about it, even tought I do not think I would like to buy it since I do not think I could justify the money.

Have a good day miplank

Yeah...I'm in used cars. So a program like that would come in handy. I used to run a wm6 based smart phone, but find them to be too unstable.

I don't have my BB w/me right now..Left it on my desk at work :S

I'll add you tomorrow!!!

Hello all, I'm an online car dealer and move close to 10-15 cars a month. I'm using the bb for communications with cusomers but my books are managed in excel. We tried quickbooks, and it doesn't fit our business model; what are other car dealers using?

Was in the car business from 01' to 05' but left to go into business for myself. Plus I control my own hours and have all weekend off.

Hello jmoney1026,
I work for a dealer group about 1 1/2 hours to the west of you. I am there IT Director. I love this job and it keeps me busy having 5 stores and about 230 PC users on my network.

DealerTrack on the BB is a great idea.

Default IT & Dealerships

Greetings,

Say, I'm interested in meeting some of you to share what technology is being used at your dealership. We're using Arkona as our DMS.

Thanks,

SeaDan
